The true potential of AI in education lies not in who or what it will replace, but how it can assist humans to think and work in new ways. This session offers key considerations and practical applications for schools who are exploring how to support effective and responsible use of AI among educators and students. We’ll review the current landscape of AI in education, then practice using AI in two key areas:
  • Educations: How might teachers and administrators use AI to be more efficient, more effective, and more innovative?
  • Students: How might we work with students to deepen their AI literacy, to internalize the importance of academic integrity, and to monitor AI’s impact on their learning?

This is a hands-on session where we’ll work with a few different AI tools. Participants will be provided with guided activities and prompts. Through considering and applying AI, we’ll build our own AI literacy and reflect on AI’s impact on the work of our school communities.
