Simplifying STEM: Four Equitable Practices to Inspire Meaningful Learning

This presentation is designed to help educators consider best practices in integrated STEM learning experiences that are inclusive of all students and allows them to experience STEM as scientists, innovators, mathematicians, creators, engineers, and technology experts. In doing so, the focus of this presentation will be to simplify STEM into four equitable practices to inspire meaningful learning. Through active discussion and dissection of multiple classroom examples, attendees will come away with a strong sense of research-based best practices in STEM education, knowledge of the equity-based conceptual framework to engage all students with STEM, and practical teaching ideas to empower their students with meaningful STEM learning experiences.
