Authentic Audiences: Designing "REAL" Learning Opportunities

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

What are the benefits of sharing work with authentic audiences? How can we give our students opportunities to “own” their learning by thinking differently about our courses and assessments? Students want to be immersed in purposeful work and they want to explore their passions. They are also eager for feedback that helps them grow. When we design our courses and assessments with students at the center, students experience “real” and deeper learning. Engaging with authentic audiences is one important way to enhance learning experiences for our students. In this session, participants will hear about specific projects and examples of this work, with insights from both students and educators.
